Yes it is. I had it once before 10 years ago and lost a job because I couldn't climb out of bed. I'm definitely taking care of myself this go 'round.

Oh Noooooo! That's terrible news. Take very good care of yourself and do just what the doctor tells you, cuz pneumonia is not anything to eff with.

Pneumonia is nothing to f with, I agree wholeheartedly. I went from zero symptoms to having this F'er spread through my lungs in less than 12 hours. Aggressive bastard.

I am however taking no less than four perscriptions right now, so hopefully I shall win, and the bastard will die.

Thank you for the healing vibes and well wishes. I also hope for a speedy recovery, but I won't push myself either. Pneumonia has a tendency to bounce back stronger once you think you've licked it. Well, maybe not licked it... that sounds disgusting.

Wouldn't that be like the 'don't use a granade when a scalpel will do' arguement between McCain and Obama when they were on the campaign trail? Sadly, I think only time and antibiotics will cure me. And sleeping as many hours as a newborn...

how the hell did you get pneumonia in the middle of the desert?

Apparently I've been incubating it dormant in my system and when I got up into the low oxygen climate at the canyon, it was triggered. It put me down almost immediately and I became quite the babbling idiot.

Crap. I've had that. Take your meds or get some if you dont have any. Take vitamins and sleep.

I have perscriptions galore. And a husband who keeps pushing a damned water bottle at me. But sleep is one thing I need no coaxing for. I want this to be 'over' but not relapse. Thank you for your concern, and I hadn't thought of vitamins. I will add those to the handful of pills I'm taking.

Oh no. My youngest kid had that as a toddler, and needed to spend a night in hospital, so much worse than just the flu. Antibiotics, fluids, bed-rest, and make sure someone checks up on you frequently?

I'm not hospital bound just yet, my fevers haven't gone over the 104 threshold. My husband Timo is staying with me, not that I asked him to, but he's mothering me. They put me on Avelox as an antibiotic, and it's supposed to do wonders.

You know, I bet I do have Ass Flu. Thank you for that diagnosis, I will endeavor to seek additional medical help. Ass Flu is not fun, especially when small children run after you trying to tack a tail on your backside.

I didn't see the Burros, it was too late in the day for them. I did see their droppings. It's probably best I wasn't on a burro. I would have been too lightheaded to ride one.

That's awful. Be good to yourself and give yourself lots of time to get better. Pneumonia has a way of sticking with you if you don't :(

I'm on 72 hours mandated bedrest, and I can go back and request more, but I have two classes to teach Thursday and I'm not sure how to handle that. I'm the only one who can legally teach those blocks of instruction. I might have to suffer through and tell 'em all to piss off after class and go home.
