Who sleeps in bed next to you?

Husband and cats. He sticks to his side of the bed, but the cats certainly have no boundary issues.

What’s one of the strangest things that has ever happened to you?

I became fixated on a random location in Germany for no rational reason whatsoever in middle school, knowing full well that if I ever had the money to travel to Germany, I’d never be able to afford the trek into the un-touristy, former East German town in the middle of nowhere on the Baltic Sea. In high school I won a scholarship to Germany that took me 45 mins from this place. When I got off the train, I knew how to navigate the city I’d never been in, instinctively. It was a very surreal experience of coming home to a place I’d never been – with no logical explanation either.

What kind of magazines do you read?

I have a subscription to Smithsonian, and in general I find it the only mag worth reading.

If you could see one band in concert right now, any band, dead or alive, which would it be?

U2. And since we’re talking fantasy – an Achtung Baby Concert.

If you could have one super power, what would it be?

I’m not interested in power. Can’t I just trade this in for a house-elf? I’d rather have a house-elf. Or Severus.

Odd? Please define. Oh, I suppose the Time Turner purchased at zibitcon is odd. Iz broken.

What’s your current fandom/obsession/addiction?

Fandom? I’ve only ever had one. HP. Which I’d say qualifies as both an obsession and an addiction.

Where would you like to go right now if you had enough money?

Right now? Chicago. For vacation? Anchorage, Alaska – I used to live there and can’t wait to go back.

What are you most excited for?

*scratches head* Nothing exciting on the horizon at the moment.

What was the last thing you bought?

Lunch. Exciting, no?

What’s your favorite season?

Since moving to Louisiana? Fall. We don’t have it here. And it’s the perfection between the hard chill of a dead winter and respite from the oppressive heat of summer. Perfect snuggle weather.

Does the weather affect your mood?

It can. Meh.

Cancer.
