Pretty Pretties

Come and have a look-see at my new pretty-pretties. I commissioned  bblackdahlia  to knit these gauntlets for me.  I wanted them for my 18th Century winter impression.  I was so excited when they arrived today, I got kitted out in my wools (100+ weather) to show you how awesome they are.   If you don't know her, she writes under the pen name momodesu, and she takes commissions and even knits house scarves.  Think about it.

And because I am told that there are some witchy people out there, here's a close-up on my 18th Century buckle shoes.  If you want a pair, I bought them from fugawee and they are the 'Connie' style.  Fugawee makes all sorts of reenacting shoes from the 18 to 20th century.   And Droxy - according to the Hubby:  Historical reenacting is NOT cosplay.  Just like G.I. Joes are NOT dolls.  (they're action figures!)

*Sigh* I defy convention! I'm such a misunderstood person.

My dramatic emo statement for the day - especially after you called me emo the other day... which I've never been called.

And you called me a pragmatist today... which I've never been called either.

But it's much easier to envision the M16 if you knew how often I could go from zero to sixty on the Bitchometer.

I assume you're talking about the blue wool cloak. It's a thick blanket wool and I love it. It's much abused and gets toted to most of the reenactments even if the collar clasp is modern.
